The Pearl of Africa Tourism expo, will take place from the 4th to the 8th of February 2020. The show aims at bringing together tour operators and most importantly showcase Uganda as a tourism destination.

Uganda as a destination was mentioned by BBC amongst the 50 places to visit for 2020 and therefore, POATE would be perfect to you to learn more about the available holiday options.

The Pearl of Africa tourism expo will take place at Speke resort Munyonyo Hotel grounds and you can download your App to allow you get around the Expo.

How to access the exhibition grounds;

Speke Resort Munyonyi can be access from Kampala using two routes;

One can opt to use the Kansanga Gaba road, The Kasanga gaba road will take you around 35 to 1 hour depending on the traffic.

To avoid traffic, you can also use the Kibuye-Salam road. This road is usually not that congested and busy like the previous road.

For those traveling from Entebbe, you can join the southern bypass from Kajjansi. Then drive straight to where the bypass end. Speke resort Munyonyo shares a fence with the last roundabout on the southern bypass.

Some of the companies you should expect to meet at the expo include;

AA Safaris and Tours ltd a safari company that has been in existence for over 10 years, handling mostly midrange and Luxury clients. Organizing safaris and adventure holidays.

The Uganda wildlife authority, responsible for protection and conservation in some of the most visited wildlife reserves in Uganda. Some of these include Bwindi forest national park, Murchison falls park, Kibale park to mention but a few.

The Uganda Tourism Board; Will be in attendance, especially for those entities that are interested in national or regional partnership of promoting tourism.

Raft Uganda – an adventure company that organizes adventure activities along the Nile to include rafting, kayaking, and bungee jumping.
