Detailed Itinerary

Day 1, Transfer from Kigali to Nyungwe National Park, canopy walk or colobus trek

In the morning, right after breakfast, you will drive to Nyungwe National Park. The journey takes about 4 hours, arriving in the afternoon. On the way to the park, you may visit the former king’s palace to learn more about Rwandan culture. You can also visit the Butare Museum in Huye before proceeding to Nyungwe National Park. Day 2, Chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe, return to Kigali

In the morning before sunrise, you will transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing and then head into the forest in search of the chimpanzees. Once you find them, you will be allowed to spend 1 hour with them while observing their behaviour and taking photographs. Later, return to the starting point and drive back to Kigali in the afternoon. This marks the end of your 2 days Nyungwe chimpanzee tracking safari.
