Bakers Lodge
Bakers Lodge named after explorer Samuel Baker, it is located on the edges of Murchison falls park along the South bank of Nile River. It is an intimate and beautiful stylish safari lodge built within a large and private area. Therefore, giving you the real sense of wilderness especially since there is direct access to the Nile. The lodge is surrounded by large shady trees. In addition, some areas are covered by wetland therefore host so many wetland dwellers like so many bird species which you can see even from your rooms. Along the river banks, you can spot animals like hippos, elephants and so much more.
There are some small island/ green growths within the course of the river. These in return make them beautiful and home to plenty of birds making the islands picturesque.
Rooms:
Baker’s lodge has got 10 grass thatched luxury safari cottages which are built of wooded platforms. Therefore, every one of them is raised off the ground level with several supporting pillars. They all have got spacious private decks with a sheltered sitting area overlooking the famous river.
Each of these beautiful cottages is built in a way that allows a required amount of privacy for the guests and at the same time have equal opportunities to enjoy the nature that surrounds the property. From your room, you can have a clear view of either upstream or down-stream. All rooms are large enough, very spacious, very open with large doors and windows therefore very airy. In addition, Bakers lodge rooms have fans installed in the rooms should you need it during hot days. All rooms are well furnished with an open sitting area with a table and chairs where you can sit if you don’t want to sit on the deck.
All rooms have got netted windows, mosquito nets hang, king and queen size beds depending on the type of room and beautifully. Selected pieces of local crafts accessorise the room., making them beautiful. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with bathtubs sitting next to large windows, offering viewings of the wilderness while u sock in. Heat by solar power, hot water is readily available and 24/7 ensuring that you can choose to relax in the tab at your onward pace and time.
Common Area.
The restaurant and bar are within the main building with the lounge and dining area. . You can enjoy your breakfast watching the sun rise or dinner while the sunsets down. You can expect both the local and international dishes to choose from. Hot beverages are available for the guests throughout the entire day, you can help yourself whenever. The bar is stocked with wines, spirits, beers and some soft drinks as well as water. You can make your order and someone will serve you.
