Detailed Itinerary
Day 1, Pick up in Kigali, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
At 8 am, you will be picked up in Kigali and cross the border into Uganda before continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive takes about 4 to 5 hours, arriving in the afternoon. Please note that you can obtain a visa at the border. However, we recommend getting the East African Tourist Visa when entering Rwanda to avoid delays at the border. On arrival in Bwindi, you may opt to visit the Batwa community or go for a community walk. These activities can be arranged at an extra cost. Day 2, Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Start the day with an early breakfast at 6 am before transferring to the park headquarters. At the park headquarters, you will be briefed about the trek and then begin your search for the gorillas through the forest. Gorilla trekking takes between 2 and 8 hours, depending on the movement of the gorillas. Once you meet them, you will be allowed to spend 1 hour with them while taking pictures and observing their behaviour. Later, return to the starting point and head back to your lodge for dinner. A packed lunch will be provided on this day
Day 3, Return to Kigali
At 9 am, after breakfast, you will drive back to Kigali, arriving in the afternoon. If your flight is scheduled for the evening, you will be dropped off at the airport.
