Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Bwindi Forest. 7 to 8 hours LD.

Wake up early in the morning and our tour guide pick you up from your hotel in Kampala. Head westwards to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Have a journey break at the Equator and take some photos. Move on to Mbarara town where you will stop for lunch before heading through the grasslands of Ankole.  If you are trekking in the southern sector of Bwindi then you may track the Nkuringo and Nshongi Families of gorillas are located, you will have a lunch break in Kabale before you proceed to Kisoro .

As you drive passed the rolling hills on the winding road, you will get pleasure from the beauty of the wonderful long horned cattle , prior to moving on to the highlands of Kigezi referred to as the ‘Switzerland of Africa! Day 2; Gorilla tracking safari Uganda. BLD

Rise up early in the morning for breakfast carry your tracking gears, packed food, drinking water and move to the ranger station for briefing from ranger guides who will guide you through the impenetrable forest. It’s also important to wear good hiking boots of an ankle level and long trousers for protection against stinging nettles Bwindi Impenetrable forest was gazetted in 1942 it turned into a national park in 1992 and recognized as a world heritage site in 1994. Day 3: Drive to Volcanoes national Park. 4 to 5 hours BLD

Enjoy your early morning breakfast and drive to the boarder of Uganda and Rwanda. You will cross the boarder at Kisoro or Kabale then clear at the boarder. Remember to adjust your watches because Rwanda is 1 hour behind Uganda (GMT+2). Located in the north west of Rwanda, Parc National des Volcans is recognized as the home wonderful mountain gorillas. Day 4; Gorilla Tracking in Volcanoes National Park. BLD

Wake up and take breakfast then go to ORTPN offices for briefing after that set off in the forest for Gorilla trekking. A thrilling trek through the refined foothills of the Virungas provides inspiring views in all directions. Then, suddenly, the trail enters the national park, engrossing trekkers in the strange closeness of the rainforest, alive with the calls of colorful birds and chattering of the rare golden monkey and besieged with fresh spoor of the mountains’ elusive populations of buffalo and elephant. Through gaps in the forest canopy, the marvelous peaks are sighted easily to get to and among the uppermost in Africa, indicating an ascent.

Gorilla trekking is quite strenuous but worthwhile on encounter of these gorillas. The enthusiasm of your coming across with these apes will wipe away your intricacy of the strenuous trek.
