Detailed Itinerary
Day 1; Airport Pick up | Kigali city tour | Transfer to Volcanoes National park.
When you arrive at Kigali airport, a tour guide from AA Safaris and Tours Ltd will be ready to welcome you and drive you to Kigali. On the way, you will view the mesmerizing hills that form the sky line on each side of the road.
That is the first display of the land of a thousand hills. Get to Kigali, Rwanda’s capital city which was named in 1907 by Dr. Richard Kandt, the first colonial resident governor of Rwanda.
This city is the main administrative and economic centre of Rwanda. It is also surrounded by luxuriant green hills. This is part of the display of the land of a thousand hills. Kigali is the cleanest and safest city in the region. Its appearance is not just a mistake the dramatic beauty from which it derives its name.
While on a city tour, you will have the chance of visiting artisan shopping centres to view and purchase local arts and crafts, Visit the Kigali Museum, local communities, the Kigali post-genocide development and so many others. Day 2: Today we go gorilla tracking.
Rise up early in the morning for a hearty breakfast, pack your tracking gears and head to the ORTPN for briefing. Do not forget to carry parked lunch because you do not know the time you may take to meet the adventurous apes. After briefing, you will go into the lush dump ever green forest for the jungle search. During your expedition, you will get to see other primates like monkeys, birds whistling from the tree branches and the surrounding vegetation is awesome.
You are advised to put on jungle boots because the terrain is quite slippery and there may be some insects on the way. When you encounter the gentle eyed gorilla, you will forget the time you spent searching for them. Spend an hour with them, taking photo graphs and watching there moves. Later return to your lodge.
If you are not so tired you may go visit to Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village, based in the community bordering Parc National des Volcans. While at the village, you will have a magnificent, interactive experience, getting to know all about Rwandan traditions, culture, songs and dance. If opportunity befalls you, you will have the chance to sample local food and banana beer and visit a local household or school. Alternatively, you can choose to visit some of the local community projects and co-operatives.

Day 3: Golden Monkey tracking or Visit the Karisoke research centre / Dian Fossey tombs.
Rise up early in the morning and head for an amazing golden monkey trek. They have a bright reddish-gold body, black limbs and tail. In the entire world these exciting monkeys are considered to be one of the dying out primates in Africa. Golden monkeys are famous in the Albertine Rift and are both rare and less information has been written about them.
The greatest number is found within the Virunga Conservation Area of Uganda and Rwanda. Tourists interested in the dian fossey tombs and Karisoke research centre will also start at the same time. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at the lodge of your budget.
Day 4: Transfer to Lake Kivu | Boat ride.
Early in the morning, you will drive you to Gisenyi, a lovely town situated on the shores of Lake Kivu. Lake Kivu is one of the great lakes in Africa. In addition, it is the largest of the fresh water lakes that gleam in the Albertine (Western) rift of the Great Rift Valley.
Go for a boat ride on Lake Kivu in the afternoon and then later watch the sunset on the lake. Overnight at Paradise Malahide,( M) , Lake Kivu Serena hotel.
Day 5: Transfer back to Kigali.
Later in the morning right after breakfast,you will drive to transfer to Kigali. On arrival you will do a last minute souvenir shopping before you transfer to Kigali Airport. End of 5 days Rwanda gorilla tour.
