Semliki Safari Lodge

Semliki safari lodge is one of wildplaces properties and it is the best lodge there is in Semliki national park, home to Sempaya hot springs. It is a traditional and also rustic sort of lodge located in an isolated part of the park surrounded by the jungle. Therefore allowing you to enjoy something like a private game watching experience while there.

Rooms

There is a total of 8 canvas tents which are built in an African style, placed onto wooden floor and under grass thatched roofs therefore protected from direct sun heat and the rains. An overnight at this camp gives you an actual feel of living in the wilderness amidst nature and wildlife. Some of these rooms have double beds therefore are occupied by couples while others have got two beds in there are meant for two people willing to share a room but not a bed in that case.

Comfortably set with queen size bed and linen beddings are the rooms. In addition , they are all very spacious enough for one or two occupants. They all have en-suite bathrooms with flushing toilets, wall showers and hot water flowing all the time. They have soft carpets to make the room look more luxurious and the small sitting area inside the room and on the verandah where you can sit and enjoy the surrounding environment.

Common Area;

The main lodge is also built in the same style with thatched roofs. Furnished with comfortable sofas, the lounge offers a relaxing place for guests whilst sipping on a cup of coffee./ tea. You can also order some drinks from the lodge’s stocked bar anytime of the day. Within the same building is the kitchen and the dining area where meals are prepared and served respectively.

Some of the specials offered at the lodge includes free WIFI which you can access from the main lodge, you can have a cup of coffee or tea delivered to your room and enjoy from your veranda as you watch the scenery and there is a swimming pool that you will find useful during the hot days.

The lodge offers easy access to Semliki national park for activities like chimpanzee tracking in Ituri forests. You can go bird watching, visit the Ssempaya hot springs, go for nature walks, cultural/ community visits, among so many other activities depending on your interests.
