Detailed Itinerary

Day 1, Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After an early breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel at 7 am and begin the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. The drive takes about 7 hours and passes through Luwero District and Nakasongola, with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. After the rhino tracking experience, continue to Masindi for lunch before driving on to the park. On arrival, head to the top of the falls for impressive views of Murchison Falls and a chance to see wildlife such as baboons and warthogs. Later, continue to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Paraa Safari Lodge [luxury], Murchison River Lodge [mid-range], or Red Chilli [budget].

Day 2, Game drive and boat cruise on the Nile in Murchison Falls National Park

Have an early breakfast, then set out for a morning game drive in the park with your guide and park ranger. Early morning is one of the best times to spot predators, nocturnal animals returning to cover, and a wide range of other wildlife. You may see buffaloes, antelopes, giraffes, waterbucks, lions, elephants, oribi, warthogs, Jackson’s hartebeest, and many bird species
