On this 2 days Kibale forest chimp safari we take you to trek chimpanzees in Kibale National park. Kibale forest is a rainforest known to be a home to a great number of primates including the chimpanzees. The park is known to be a home to over 80 species of mammals, 375 species of birds and the rare l’hoist monkeys and red colobus monkeys.

2 Days Kibale forest Chimp Safari

 Day  1: Transfer to Kibale forest Park / Nature walk in wetlands 

Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel early morning by 7am and drive through Mityana, Mubende, Kyenjojo and the tea plantations to Fort-portal town and head to your preferred lodge in Kibale Forest National Park. Have lunch at your lodge and later go for a guided nature walk in the tea plantations  and Bigodi wetland. Expect to find a variety of monkey species, Flowers, Butterflies, big trees, various bird species and vegetation and later head back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight at Primates Lodge / Kibale Forest Camp / Chimps Nest

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking | Afternoon Transfer back to Kampala. 

You will have breakfast early in the morning and head to the forest for our chimp tracking tour. The pant hoot call will guide you to where the chimps are. This will also give you an opportunity to see other primates and birds in the forest. The tracking tour will end by midday. You will then head back to your lodge for lunch. After lunch you will drive to transfer back to kampala.
