Elephant Plains Lodge.
Elephant Plains Lodge is one of the latest luxury lodges located northeast of Queen Elizabeth national park with a great view of the park. It is built along the Albertine rift valleys western escarpment therefore sits as high as 941 meters above the sea level. Given its location, this lodge does offer the most amazing panoramic views across a vast piece of land through open grasslands towards lake George.
Nestled a few kilometers from the gate of the park near Lake Kikorongo, the lodge has excellent views of the park and the savannahs where you can view plenty of wildlife. There are so many grassland birds so if you’re keen, you will see plenty of them. Making it a bird watchers paradise. More to what you can expect are the Ugandan Kob, the lions as well as the other big cats are common in the area because they are attracted by the presence of other animals in the area that they prey on. Hence making it perfect for a safari in Uganda.
Rooms:
The lodge has a total of 8 cottages. 6 of them are luxurious and spacious rooms with either double beds which are king size or twin beds which are queen size beds. They are en-suite cottages with grass thatched roofs, large windows to enable you have nice views even from the rooms and spacious private balconies on each room.
Elephant plains lodge has 2 family cottages which can accommodate a total of 5 individuals per night. Family cottages have a master bed room with a double bed. Therefore, they can accommodate 2 people and the second room has capacity to accommodate 3 people per night.
All cottages have spacious bathroom with bathtubs, hot water flowing with a verandah. From the large verandas of every room, you get a view of the lake.
Common Area:
With a fully stocked bar and comfortable couches, elephant plains lodge has a common area that overlooks the park. The lodge serves both international and local meals with excellent services offered to reflect the class. Watch the sunrise, and set as you take coffee, tea and or dinner in the lodges, restaurant and dining area.

Double / twin rooms cost-$470 per person per night
An extra bed in a room costs – USD 245 per night.
