Kikorongo Safari Lodge

Kikorongo safari lodge is a beautiful new modern lodge that is built along the slopes of the Kikorongo escarpments hence the name. Surrounded by an amazing and expansive greenery overlooking Queen Elizabeth national park. Kikorongo is a heaven on earth. The view is more beautified by the fact that it also over looks Lake Edward, the Kazinga channel and from a point, you can also see the Rwenzori mountains. All cottages are built along the slopes of an escarpment and so a walk to and from the rooms is another hiking adventure.

Rooms / Cottages

The lodge has got tented rooms and intimate cottages which are all surrounded by that natural but also well-kept bushes thus giving you an opportunity to feel like you are in the real wilderness. Each Cottage is privately located thus allowing you get the amount of privacy that you desire, the peace and quiet allows guests to rest and unwind while staying in this intimate property which is more like paradise.

The whole property is divided in two sections which are the sunrise and the sunset wing facing the east and west respectively. There are two types fo rooms, that is premium and intimate cottages.

The luxury premium tents ;

Built at the highest point of the escarpments and they are widely spread across the slopes of the rift valley gorges. These rooms have the best view of the park, lake George and Kikorongo. All of kikorongo cottages have similar amenities. These include but are not limited to; comfortable king size beds, balcony and chair where you can relax from, en-suite bathrooms and a private garden.

These premium tents are the perfect options for friends, families or and groups. This is because they are larger and therefore spacious enough. They are clearly very classy rooms.

The intimate cottages;

Built along the edge of the property. They are nice, intimate but smaller than the premium ones. These are perfect for people who prefer being closer rather than spacious and possibly very intimate. Hence making I it the best option for the honeymooners. It is also perfect for people with blooming relationship and those who wish to have that smaller intimate space. The Intimate rooms have all amenities like the en-suite bathrooms, the hot water flowing, comfortable beds and everything needed ensure all guests stay comfortable. They also offer a lot of privacy and the only noise one can hear is the sound of birds. Bird watching at Kikorongo lodge is another activity to participate in .
