Coronavirus- COVID -19 Travel updates;
Coronavirus spread started in Wuhan China with a few cases and the world thought it would be contained. However, the virus has spread to 13-folds of the Globe leading to the world Health organization naming this a Pandemic.
COVID-19 is a disease caused by the coronavirus and characterized by symptoms to include; a running nose, sore throat, cough and fever. In severe cases the viruses can lead to Pneumonia or breathing problems. The viruses can cause severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS).
Some of the Prevention Measures.
Some of the prevention measures is to often clean/wash your hands with soap and Alcohol based scrubs. Cover your nose and mouth whilst sneezing, and also stay 1 metre or 3 feet from anyone with flu-like symptoms. Most important. Avoid touching your face and nose.
Efforts to Control Further Spread.
In the efforts of trying to control the further spread of COVID-19, countries have imposed travel restrictions and Uganda and Rwanda is amongst them. These restrictions, limit people who are nationals of particular countries from travelling to Uganda and Rwanda. Some of these countries include, China, the United states of America, Italy, Sweden, United Kingdom and many others. If you insist on travelling that be aware that you will be quarantined for 14 days, before you are released and the Quarantine will be at your own cost.
Rwanda as of today 21st of March has closed visits its major national parks, that is volcanoes national park, Akagera park and Nyungwe national park.

In light of the above new restrictions and limitations to visit parks. AA Safaris and tours ltd would like to inform its clients that they can postpone their trips to a future date until next year.
For trips departing march, April and May, if one wishes to cancel their trip, then we they stand to lose their gorilla permit fees and also the 50% of the Fees. Especially if your country is not amongst the restricted countries in east Africa.
Most of the conditions of the cancellations and refund exclusively depend on our partners. Most of our partners are willing to postpone your trip, that’s why postponement is given a high priority.
Currently Rwanda has recorded 11 cases of coronavirus disease. However, it is worth noting that Uganda is still safe and free from Coronavirus. We hope and pray that the situation does not change in Uganda.
