Detailed itinerary

Day 1, Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

After an early breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel in Kampala at around 6 am and begin the journey to Kidepo Valley National Park. The drive takes about 8 to 9 hours, passing through northern Uganda’s changing landscapes and local towns. You will arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge, and relax after the long journey. Day 2, Morning game drive in Narus Valley, Karamojong Manyatta visit

Start the day with an early morning game drive in Narus Valley, the main wildlife viewing area of Kidepo Valley National Park. Look out for lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, and various antelope species. Return to the lodge for lunch and some rest. In the afternoon, visit a Karamojong Manyatta to experience the local culture, learn about their traditional lifestyle, and interact with the community. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Day 3, Guided nature walk in Kidepo Valley, afternoon relaxation

After breakfast, go for a guided nature walk in Kidepo Valley, where you will explore the park on foot with a ranger guide. This walk offers a closer look at the landscape, smaller wildlife, bird species, and unique vegetation that cannot be fully appreciated during game drives. After the walk, return to the lodge for lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing, with optional views of the surrounding plains or wildlife near the lodge. Dinner and overnight at your lodge. Day 4, Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, depart Kidepo Valley National Park and begin the journey to Murchison Falls National Park, driving through Kitgum and Gulu. This is a full travel day across northern Uganda, offering views of rural landscapes and local communities. On arrival in the park, check in at your lodge and relax in preparation for the next day’s activities. Dinner and overnight at your selected accommodation. Day 5, Morning game drive, Victoria Nile boat cruise to the falls

Start early with a morning game drive on the northern bank of Murchison Falls National Park, one of the best areas for wildlife viewing. Look out for lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, antelopes, and birdlife across the savannah. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile to the base of Murchison Falls. Along the way, you will see hippos, crocodiles, and animals gathering along the riverbanks. This is one of the highlights of the safari. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Accommodation Same lodge as Day 4.

Day 6, Ziwa Rhino tracking, transfer to Kampala

After breakfast, begin the return journey to Kampala. On the way, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking experience on foot. After the activity, continue the drive to Kampala, arriving in the evening. This marks the end of your 6 days Kidepo and Murchison Falls safari
