Visit Uganda and learn more about the different beliefs, traditions and cultures on our 10 Days Uganda Cultural safari. Uganda has over 50 different tribes that are worth exploring not missing out the Karamajongs and also the Batwa forest people. All these small groups and communities have unique behaviours and beliefs. However, most noteworthy is that they are welcoming.

  • Day 2:  Visit Buganda Kingdom/ Palace, Nagallabi coronation site.
  • Day 3: Transfer to Jinja Eastern Uganda.
  • Day 4:  Transfer to Mbale.
  • Day 5: Transfer to Sipi Falls. / Visit Sebei caves
  • Day 6: Transfer to Moroto. Kara-Tunga camp.
  • Day 7: Day in Moroto.
  • Day 8: Transfer to Gulu
  • Day 9:  Day in Gulu.
  • Day 10: Drive back to Kampala.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Entebbe Airport. 

Arrive at Entebbe airport to meet our company representative who will transfer you to your hotel. Your Uganda safari starts with pick up.   Overnight

Basic- Central Inn Entebbe / Holiday express Hotel.

Moderate –  Cassia Lodge or 2 friends Hotel Entebbe

Luxury – Serena Hotel, Mestil Hotel.

Day 2:  Visit Buganda Kingdom/ Palace, Nagallabi coronation site.

Today at 8am, you will go visit the national museum before going to the Buganda Kings palace to learn more about the history of Buganda Kingdom. After the palace, you will go visit the burial sites of the Kings, the Kasubi tombs.  You will later go visit the coronation sites of Buganda Kings. Return to your hotel for Dinner. Overnight at previous hotel.

Day 3: Transfer to Jinja Eastern Uganda.

7am, transfer to Jinja to arrive after 2 hours. On  the way to jinja, you can visit Ssezibwa falls and then proceed to visit the source of the Nile.  On arrival in Jinja, you will go visit the Busoga kings palace and then later relax at your hotel. Overnight at

Basic- Source of the Nile Hotel.

Moderate – Jinja Resort Hotel or Gately on the Nile Hotel.

Day 4:  Transfer to Mbale.

Depart Jinja at 8am, to transfer to Mbale town taking 3 hours to arrive. Check into your hotel and then go visit the Mutoto cultural site which hosts the circumcision ceremony / Imbalu for the Bagisu Males every even year. Circumcision of male teenagers is seen as a process through which these men are initiated into adulthood. Visit Kakungulu hill, where kakungulu was buried and also today where the Jewish center sits. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 5: Transfer to Sipi Falls. / Visit Sebei caves

Kapkwai Caves

Today, you will transfer to Sipi falls for a nature walk to the falls. Later in the afternoon you will go visit the Sebie caves t learn more about the Cultures of the Sebei people and then return to your hotel. Overnight at previous hotel.

Day 6: Transfer to Moroto. Kara-Tunga camp. 

In the morning at 7am, you will depart your hotel and drive to transfer to Moroto. Arrive moroto to have lunch and then go visit the Karamoja museum.  Relax at your hotel for an overnight.

Day 7: Day in Moroto.

Today you will go visit Ateker cultural centre and then Mt Moroto where you will meet the people of Tepeth Tribe after hiking. Spend some time with them learning more about there culture and then return to your hotel.

Day 8: Transfer to Gulu.

At 7am, you will depart Moroto to transfer to Gulu. Arrive in time for lunch to ave lunch and then later go visit the Fort patiko. Also referred to as Bakers fort, it was established in 1872 by Sir, Samul Baker.  Later it was commissioned by the Queen as a military base during the colonial days.

Overnight at Acholi Inn or bakers fort Hotel.

Day 9:  Day in Gulu.

Today, you will go visit the local community in Gulu and also visit a museum in Gulu town. In addition, visit the craft centre to buy some crafts and also be treated to cultural dances of the Acholi people.  If you are interested you can visit the Guruguru caves.  These caves, are said to have been used during the Lamogi rebellion and also during the historical inter-clan wars and so much more.

Overnight at previous hotel.

Day 10: Drive back to Kampala.

At 8am after breakfast, you will drive back to Kampala and proceed to the airport to catch your onward flight. End of 10 days cultural safari.
