Is gorilla trekking in Mgahinga different from gorilla trekking in Bwindi

The overall gorilla trekking experience in Mgahinga and Bwindi is quite similar, as both involve walking through forest terrain in search of mountain gorillas. In both parks, the level of difficulty depends on the location and movement of the gorilla family on the day of the trek. The main difference is in the setting. Mgahinga offers a more open volcanic landscape and is often seen as a quieter alternative, while Bwindi has denser forest and more trekking sectors. In both cases, the reward is the same: spending time with mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.
