Day 1: AIRPORT PICK UP AND CITY TOUR

When you arrive at Kigali airport, a tour guide from AA SAFARIS AND TOURS will be ready to welcome you and drive you to Kigali. On the way, you will view the mesmerizing hills that form the sky line on each side of the road. That is the first display of the land of a thousand hills. Get to Kigali, Rwanda’s capital city which was named in 1907 by Dr. Richard Kandt, the first colonial resident governor of Rwanda. This city is the main administrative and economic centre of Rwanda. It is also surrounded by luxuriant green hills. This is part of the display of the land of a thousand hills. Kigali is the cleanest and safest city in the region. Day 2: HEAD FOR GORILLA TREKKING IN PARC NATIONAL DES VOLCANOES

Rise up early in the morning for a hearty breakfast, pack your tracking gears and head to the ORTPN for briefing. Do not forget to carry parked lunch because you do not know the time you may take to meet the adventurous apes. After briefing, you will go into the lush dump ever green forest for the jungle search. During your expedition, you will get to see other primates like monkeys, birds a seen or heard whistling from the tree branches and the surrounding vegetation is awesome.  You are advised to put on jungle boots because the terrain is quite slippery and there may be some insects on the way. When you encounter the gentle eyed gorilla, you will forget the time you send searching for them. Spend an hour with them, taking photo graphs and watching there moves. In case you are not so tied you will take a visit to Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village, based in the community bordering Parc National des Volcans. While at the village, you will have a magnificent, interactive experience, getting to know all about Rwandan traditions, culture, songs and dance. If opportunity befalls you, you will have the chance to sample local food and banana beer and visit a local household or school. Alternatively, you can choose to visit some of the local community projects and co-operatives.

Day 3: GOLDEN MONKEY TRACKING AND VISIT THE DIAN FOSSEY GRAVE

Rise up early in the morning and head for an amazing golden monkey trek. They have a bright reddish-gold body, black limbs and tail. In the entire world these exciting monkeys are considered to be one of the dying out primates in Africa. Golden monkeys are famous in the Albertine Rift and are both rare and less information has been written about them. There greatest number is found within the Virunga Conservation Area of Uganda and Rwanda. Proceed to the Dian fossey grave where the remains of the American scientist were buried. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at the lodge of your budget.

Day 4: BOAT RIDE ON LAKE KIVU

Early in the morning, you will drive you to Gisenyi, a lovely town situated on the shores of Lake Kivu. Lake Kivu is one of the great lakes in Africa and the largest of the fresh water lakes that gleam in the Albertine (Western) rift of the Great Rift Valley. Lake Kivu stands at 1461m (4,790ft) above sea level and is Africa’s highest lake. The northern part is subject to eruptions from nearby Mt Nyiragongo. Gisenyi presents excellent views of the lake and the Virunga volcanoes massif. With its waterfront and sandy beaches, Gisenyi is a breathtaking place to relax, with the captivating feel of a tropical beach resort. Get to see the beautiful birds on the lake shores. In the afternoon, relax and re-energizing, your reward after the long trip. To Kigali, stop in Nyirangarama and then tour the Urwibutso Ecotourism Project. This enterprise began in 1983, when owner and manager SINA Gerard opened a small restaurant and bakery at this location. Over the years, his business has grown tremendously and it has been his mission since 1993 to turn into a leader in the production and processing of organic fruits and vegetables in the area and in Rwanda. The Urwibutso Enterprise supports local farmers and contributes to social and economic development in the area, providing schools and education, creating jobs and opportunities, particularly for women, and training for farmers. This has made the community of Rulindo District one of the most self-sustainable communities in Rwanda and a role-model to others. Dinner and overnight at
