Our 3 days vanilla and tea plantation agro tour takes you to fort portal kibale to visit , some of the best tea and vanilla farms. Learn about tea and vanilla growing and also the processes that bring these two beverages, to our tables. The visit will take you to visit the Ndali Vanilla plantation and Kahangi tea estate.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from Kampala / Transfer to Fort-portal.

In the morning right after breakfast, you will drive to transfer to Fort-portal Kibale. Arrive in time for lunch to have lunch at your hotel. Later in the afternoon, you will go visit the Kahangi tea estate , learn about planting of tea, harvesting process and drying of tea leaves. You will also be taken through the procedure of processing tea to reach the table.  Overnight at Mountains of the Moon Hotel.

Day 2: Day at Ndali vanilla farm.

Today, you will go visit the vanilla farm at Ndali vanilla estate. Learn about the processing of growing vanilla and how they hand pollinate each and every plant. This sia tiresome process but the results are worth the struggle. You will late be taken through the process of harvesting and then processing before the Vanillin is extracted. You will also be taken through the process of making Vanilla ice-cream and tastes your own hand made vanilla ice-cream.  Later you wil return to your hotel. Overnight at previous hotel.

Day 3: Kahangi Tea estate / Transfer back to Kampala.

Kahangi tea estate also extracts, other oils, from organic products, like sunflower oil, castor oil, coffee oil and so much more, learn how these oils are extracted.  Later in the afternoon, you will drive to transfer back to Kampala arriving in the evening.
