DAY 1: TREK TO SINE CAMP OR KALALAMA CAMP
You will start your journey at the starting point in Kasese and you will spend the night at Sine Camp where Enock falls is 150m away from the camp with a beautiful view of the vine, green vegetation and if you are fit enough you can continue to Kalalama Camp at 3,134m where you will have a beautiful view of the lowlands, cliffs and Lake Edward across in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
We will walk up the valley flow through the Afro Montane Forest with tall trees and you may have a chance to view the blue monkeys and variety of birds as you walk through the forest then cross the river and climb up to Sine Camp at 2,596m with wooden huts set between the forest trees on a narrow ridge where you could sit and enjoy the view of the beautiful forest and rapid waterfalls or you may decide to sit at the campfire with friends, guides and catch up. Sine Camp is below the bamboo area and the environment around has different species of birds.
In the afternoon you could opt to walk down to Enock Falls where you will find many vines with bright green lichen and mosses or you may opt to continue down the forest trail about a few kilometres to view more swinging vines and the beautiful environment then later return to Sine Camp for the night or Kalalama Camp at 3,134m.
DAY 2: KALALAMA CAMP | SAMALIRA CAMP | RWENZORI MOUNTAINS
Early morning from Sine Camp, we start by climbing up through the steep bamboo forests. There are small patches forest trees as you walk through the upper part of the bamboo zone many of which bear fruit and berries that attract many different types of birds. At around 300m altitude you reach the Heather zone where the Gaint Heather trees reach 15 metres in height and are truly magnificent. At 3,147m you will find Kalalama Camp which is an alternative to sleeping at Sine camp and has great views of the valleys, the foothills across you see Lake George in Queen Elizabeth National Park. From here you climb up a beautiful mossy ridge before turning off to pass through more heather forests across to 3,515 m where you turn to descend to an awesome flat valley with many lobelia plants and beautiful flower stems. Later you climb a short distance to Kyra villa and descend down a magnificent moss covered ridge to Samalira Camp nestled in a small dip landscape but with beautiful views and overnight.
DAY 3: AFRO MONTANE FOREST | NYAMWAMBA RIVER
Early morning, descend down through the bamboo forests and trek back into the Afro Montane Forest Zone beaming up birds and primates then just below Omusita Rest Area you may either continue straight down or branch to the left to slope down to a trail along the Nyamwamba River where the trees and forest is truly beautiful and later continue on to the park entrance and back to the hostel/Lodge.
DAY 4: KAMPALA | DEPARTURE
Early morning after breakfast, prepare to leave for your journey back to Kampala and this will be the end of this safari/tour.
