Trackers safari lodge is another luxury lodge in Buhoma section of Bwindi impenetrable forest park. It is located about 5 minutes away from the park headquarters. This is where the briefing is done every morning before gorilla tracking begins. This is a beautiful lodge built using local materials for example, they are grass thatched, placed on wooden floors and raised above the ground using Wood.

Rooms

The lodge is composed of 11 private and spacious luxurious chalets. These include that standard luxury chalets some of which are single rooms therefore meant for the solo travelers. Other are double and , the lodge also has twin rooms with two beds. There is also a triple room for buddies or families that are travelling in 3s, sleeping in the same room would make the trip a lot more fun and interesting.

There are also the superior luxury chalets and these are for those who really treasure uniqueness. The superior rooms are found at the further away towards the end of the lodge to enable the calm and quiet environment for the occupants. These rooms have the best views of the forest and a pool view at some point. To make these more unique, they have a steam bath and an en-suite Jacuzzi thus making this type of room a perfect choice for the people on their honeymoon. The superior luxury chalets have double beds and therefore accommodate a maximum of 2 people per night.

All rooms are spacious with en-suite bathrooms with hot water flowing and all the sanitary kits to use inthe bathroom. They have king size beds with orthopedic mattresses, private balconies, reading tables and a chair. There are hot water bottles provided every night to warm up your bed since the place is very cold especially in the night.

The Lounge / Common Area.

The lodge has got a cozy dining area / restaurant. It is spacious enough at the main building over the forest. There is both the inside and the outdoor sitting areas so you can always choose where you want to seat during your meals. There is an open kitchen therefore you can see your meals prepared or even participate so you get it just as you like it. They have international dishes on the menu and are prepared by expert chefs. Food items and most of the ingredients are collected from the farmers that live in the neighboring communities, so the food is fresh and organic and it is also a notehr way of giving back to the communities.

Trackers safari lodge has stocked bar with all sorts of drinks and the staff is always available to serve you any time you need a drink. There is also a health club. It’s a well-equipped mini gym, there is a sauna and also a steam bath. You can get a spa treatment after a long day in the jungle searching for gorillas. You might need that massage after-all.

Activities to do while staying at the lodge.

All activities done from the Bwindi forest and the neighboring communities can be done while staying at this lodge. Gorilla tracking is a must do activity, in that even if you can not walk, you can be carried through the forest by porters at an extra fees to meet these gentle giants. Others include community visits so you can interact with the locals like the Batwa, birding, nature walks/ hikes in the jungle, Or you can just stay at the lodge and swim.

Lodge rates and prices

The Lodge rates are in United States dollars and also vary depending on seasons. The high season is from June to October and December to February whereas the other months are low seasons.
