Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from the hotel / transfer to Bwindi.

Depart the hotel at 6am, you will be picked up from your hotel to transfer to the airport Entebbe. With Aerolink Uganda you will fly to either kihihi or kisoro airstrip depending on the gorilla tracking permits secured. Arrive the airstrip in 1 and half-hours’ time maximum before you drive to proceed to the hotel which is 45 mins to 1 hours’ drive.

Overnight at

Luxury; Gorilla forest camp, Clouds Lodge or Nkuringo gorilla Lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking.  

Today you will be transferred to the starting point by the hotel. Through the forest start the search for gorillas. Gorilla trekking takes place anytime of the year and therefore can be done on any day provided there are gorilla tracking permits available. Lunch will be provided to you by the hotel and you should be transferred to the starting point at 6:45 am.  Track the gorilla family, you have been allocated. Once you meet the gorillas, you will spend 1 hour following them and taking pictures. Overnight at previous lodge or hotel.

Day 3: Fly back to Entebbe.

At 7:45 you will depart your hotel to transfer to the airstrip to catch your onward flight to Entebbe. Flight Usually departs at 9am, unless if they communicate otherwise. Therefore, you should arrive the airport at 10:10am in the morning to connect to your onward flight. We recommend that you book an onward flight that departs anytime after 4pm.
