Detailed Itinerary

Day 1:  Transfer to Kibale Forest national park.

Drive to the west very early in the morning after your breakfast. The drive will take you w through Mityana to Fort-portal. Along the way, you will view farms, the countryside area and Rwenzori ranges. You will stop over in fort portal for lunch and then drive to proceed to Kibale. national park. While in fort portal you may visit the kings palace. Dinner and overnight Ndali Lodge (Luxury) / Primate Lodge (Mid-range) / Kibale Forest Camp (Budget)

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking  | Nature walk in Bigodi swamp 

After breakfast in the morning, you will transfer to the park headquarters for a short briefing. Through the forest you will start your search for chimpanzees at 8am. You will track these apes, take photographs and follow them for an hour.  Watch out for other primates like the grey cheeked mangabeys, white and black colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys and flora and fauna making it an interesting and informative walk in the forest. Return to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will go for a nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary. Watch out for  monkeys, various and rare flora and fauna and bird species like the grand blue turaco, papyrus gonolek, African pitta, white-winged warbler, black capped apalis, yellow-rumped tinker bird among others. Day 3; Transfer to Queen Elizabeth park |  Boat ride on Kazinga Channel. 

After breakfast, you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth which will take about 3hrs and check in on arrival and have lunch.

Later after lunch, you will go for a 2 hours boat cruise on the Kazinga channel.  This will enable you to watch the different bird species, hippos, elephants, herds of buffalos and crocodiles. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight Mweya Safari Lodge (Luxury) / Kyambura Game Lodge (Mid-range) / Kasenyi Safari Camp (Budget)

Day 4: Game drive | transfer back to Kampala. 

Early morning after your breakfast, you will proceed to the southern sector “Ishasha” of the park where you will find various bird species, Buffalos, Tree climbing lions, antelopes, topis and many more animals. Drive to Kasenyi trail where you will see the mongoose, rare warthogs, cape buffalos, leopards and many small animals around. After this game drive return to your lodge for lunch later prepare to check out of the lodge and drive back to Kampala.  End of 4 days Uganda wildlife safari
