Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park. / boat ride

At 7am, you will be picked up from your hotel in Kampala to transfer to Lake Mburo national park. The park is just 3 hours’ drive from Uganda’s capital and therefore you should arrive in time for Lunch. On the way to the park you will stop by the equator to take pictures and then proceed to drive to lake Mburo national park. Lunch will be served at the hotel. Later in the afternoon, you will go for a boat ride on Lake Mburo. Watch out for animals like buffaloes, zebras and giraffes at the shores.  Later in the evening you will go for a spotlite game drive. If you are lucky, you might spot a leopard. Overnight

Moderate – Lake Mburo Safari Lodge / Arcadia cottages

Luxury – Mihingo Lodge.

Day 2: Safari game drive / Drive back to Kampala.

In the morning before sunrise, go for a game drive in the park searching for wildlife. Later return to the lodge for lunch and then embark on the 3 hour journey to Kampala.  This morning , you can opt to do a horse back ride which takes around 3-4 hours, or a Cycle in the park while you search for wildlife, or do a nature walk in the park. All of these are options you can take on instead of the usual game drive.  After the activity, you can then drive back to Kampala, arriving in the evening. End of 2 days Lake Mburo safari.
