Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Kigali International airport / Drive to volcanoes park 2 and half hours drive . D 

When you get to Kigali airport, our safari drivers will be ready to welcome you and drive you to Kigali city for a touching but exciting city tour. You will be able to visit the Kigali genocide memorial where the remains of the 1994 genocide victims are preserved. Move on to the community centers like the orphanages and craft shops. Carry on to Parc National des Volcans  or volcanoes national park where you will have your dinner and overnight at

Day 2: Gorilla tracking safari. BLD 

Get up early in the morning and prepare for the day’s expedition. After your breakfast early in the morning, you will proceed to the ORTPN for briefing from the guide. Carry your tracking gears and packed Lunch because the duration for finding the apes is unpredictable. Wear long trousers because in the wilderness there are some stinging beetles.

Hiking shoes are also important among what to wear because the ground id quite slippery. Keep searching because the gorillas are always in motion. When you get to find them, spend an hour with them watching them as they feed there young ones as others play from the vines. Take there photo graphs too. Return to the lodge for your lunch. Relax and enjoy your dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Golden monkey tracking in volcanoes national park. BLD 

Wake up early in the morning for your breakfast and get ready to go and trek the golden monkey. The Golden monkey scientifically known as Cercopithecus mitis kandti is a subspecies of blue monkey found only in the bamboo forests of the volcanic mountain chain which   makes a part of the boundary between Rwanda, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.  Golden monkey trek is an experience that one compares to gorilla trekking in Rwanda, Uganda or Congo.

Start the trek by penetrating the dense stands of bamboo scattered with open glades, with the guidance of ranger guides, you will make your  way deep into golden monkey territory and  habitat of groups of ‘habituated’ golden monkeys – monkeys that have turned into being familiar to human presence and will be seen. Although viewing is classically kept to a maximum of one hour, tourists can get an up-close look at the golden monkey in its natural habitat. Day 4: Drive to Uganda.  4 to 5 hours  BLD 

Rise up very early in the morning for a heavy breakfast and drive to Uganda. You will pass through the Ruhengeri boarder to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. Dinner and overnight at

Day 5; Gorilla trekking in Uganda’s Bwindi Forest . BLD 

Following your breakfast, head to the park headquarters for briefing from the guide. He will give you the guide lines in order to have a successful trek. Move into the forest for gorilla tracking in the prehistoric luxuriant Bwindi forest. You may get the chance of seeing other primate like the monkeys and the chimpanzees on the way. The vegetation is also eye captivating. Keep searching until you see the gorillas. When you meet them, your excitement will over power the fatigue. Spend an hour with them watching them as they play and other feed there young ones.  Return for dinner and overnight at the lodge you booked.

Day 6: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National park. 6 hrs BLD. 

Rise up early in the morning for breakfast and drive to Queen Elizabeth national park passing via Ishasha sector. This sector is famous for being a haven for the tree-climbing lions. You will have the chance of seeing warthogs, elephants, buffalos as you penetrate the park to Mweya Peninsular. Dinner and overnight at

Day 7: Game drive and boat ride on Kazinga Channel. / Transfer to Kibale Park – 3 hrs drive . BLD 

Rise up early to have a game drive and see the early risers. Most of these are predators such as leopards, lions, side-striped jackals, hyenas and genets prior to going back to their hide-outs. Return to the lodge for late breakfast. After a hearty lunch, move on to Kazinga channel where you will have a breathtaking launch cruise.

There is a variety if birds that move around the shores of the lake. Some of them include; yellow –eyed black flycatcher, grauer’s rush warbler, kunge apalis, mountain masked apalis, rwenzori double- collared, mountain Babbler, red throated alethe and so many other birds. Following your breakfast, head to Kanyanchu park headquarters to get briefed about chimpanzee trekking at 8.00 am local time. You will hear the chimpanzees before you get to see them because they normally communicate through sound.

Kibale forest has the greatest concentration of primates in Africa boasting of at least 13 primate species including the endangered chimpanzees, the threatened red colobus, the rare L’Hoest’s monkey, black-and-white colobus, blue monkey, grey-cheeked mangabeys, red-tailed monkey, bush babies and pottos. Day 9: Drive to Kampala.
