Before we discuss the actual 3 days Mount Karisimbi hike, allow you us to tell you more about Karisimbi Volcano. Mt Karisimbi is the tallest of all the 8 volcanoes-mountains. Of all the 8 volcanoes, experienced hikers will always choose to hike Karisimbi. This is because of the fact that it presents a real challenge.

First time hikers and start with Bisoke if you re in Rwanda or Muhavura if you are in Uganda.   Mt Karisimbi stands tall at 4,507 m above sea level, making it the 5th tallest Mountain in Africa. Karisimbi derives it names from “Amasimbi” to mean “white shell” to refer to the white -capped summit that is often seen at the top of Karismbi volcanoes.
