Our 4 days Rwanda gorilla and golden Monkey safari takes you to see two of the primates that are found in Volcanoes National park.  The 4 days gorilla safari trip starts from the airport in Kigali and ends at the airport. Most noteworthy is that it also gives you an opportunity to do a Kigali city tour either on the first day  or onto last day, depending on your flight times. The tour is available all year round.( depending on availability of Gorilla safari permits on your preferred date. We recommend you book early. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Kigali Airport / Transfer to Volcanoes Park.

On arrival at the airport, you will be met by AA Safaris and tours  representative who will brief you about the trip shortly. If you arrive early, you will go for a city tour to visit the Kigali genocide memorial and national museum. Thereafter, you will embark on the 2 and half hour drive to Rwanda’s volcanoes national park.  Overnight at Basic- Kinigi guest House or Muhabura guest House, Moderate – Five Volcanoe Hotel and Luxury – Sabyinyo silverback lodge or Bisate lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking day. (B, L, D).

Rise up to an early morning breakfast and then transfer to the headquarters before 7am. You will be briefed about the guidelines of gorilla tracking and also allocated a gorilla family to trek.  Through the forest you will start the search for the gorillas. The guided walk through the forest, is informative and interesting. This makes you forget how strenuous the trek could be. Once you meet the gorillas you are allowed to spend 1 hour following them and taking pictures.  Later  you will return to the starting point. For the gorilla trek it is advisable to carry a rain coat, walking shoes to ankle length, Long trousers and insect repellants.  Overnight at your previous lodge.

Day 3: Golden Monkey.

Today, you will go trek golden monkeys near mountain Sabyinyo. The trek will take 2 to 4 hours and therefore you should be back in time for lunch. Have lunch and relax at the lodge. Overnight at your previous Lodge.

Day 4:   Transfer back to Kigali.

In the morning right after breakfast, you will drive to transfer back to Kigali. Do a city tour to visit the genocide and national museum( If you dint visit on day one) , before transferring to the airport to catch your onward flight. End of 4 days Rwanda gorilla and golden monkey Safari.
